Progress

6 pieces — 2 objects, 1 block, 3 kit parts. Every card is running; touch it.

  1. Progress Kit part · Progress through a task: ink filling a groove, never a coloured bar.
  2. Ring meter Kit part · The kit’s donut chart as an instrument: a ring of lamps behind dark glass in a spun bezel, lit clockwise from twelve like a studio clock’s seconds, with the value in lit digits in the middle.
  3. Ladder Kit part · An LED ladder for levels and load: green, then amber, then red, the way a recording level has always been read.
  4. Vessel Object · A glass of liquid as a gauge. It pours in when the value rises, sloshes when the page jolts and rings when tapped, lit like lab glassware in a photograph.
  5. Cassette Object · A clear cassette as a progress bar. The right pack grows as the work goes on and the hubs turn while it runs, the emptier one faster. Your finger winds the tape.
  6. Reading Progress Block · A long read with a test tube for a progress bar. The tube in the margin fills with ink as the essay is read, and sloshes when the reader skims.
