The panel is printed, not decorated. One family for everything, a mono only inside displays, and upper case only for labels.
The scale
Two faces, both open
Instrument Sans sets everything: headings, body, keys, labels. Geist Mono appears only inside a display (an LCD, a VFD, a glass), where a mono is what the hardware would show. Both are under the SIL Open Font Licence and ship with the kit as WOFF2, with their licence files.
Rules of the press
Sentence case for headings and keys. Upper case only for labels, where it is the voice of a front panel. Figures are always tabular. No monospace outside a display, and no icons stacked above headings.
